The SC Gourd Festival is a 2 day event, held April 24-25, 2026 at the Ghost Creek Gourd Farm in Laurens, SC.  
 

Festival hours are Friday 1-5, and Saturday 8-5.  Class Registration is open until 4/14, reserve your classes now!

**$5 of every class tuition fee is retained by the South Carolina Gourd Society for expenses related to the Festival


 

Class applications will be accepted on a first come, first registered basis from February 8 until April 14.  Class times (also listed on class details page) are Friday from 1-5, Saturday AM from 8-11:30, and Saturday PM from 1-5

2026   Make and Take  

Adult Make and Take will again be offered Friday afternoon 1pm to 4pm, and 

Saturday from 10-4pm.  A hanging basket made with a Cannonball Gourd, burlap, twine, paint and mod podge. Can be made in approximately 45 minutes and used for a plant or any item you would like to place in it.   Cost is $5.00.  Bring your friends and have some fun at the Gourd Fest.                                     

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our Kids Make and Take is offered for Free with Mary Martin Runyans, Claire Martin,  and Maddie Grace Runyans.  They will be offering attendees the opportunity to make a birdhouse.  Have fun using your imagination and creative skills.  Offered Friday 1-5 pm, and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

 

General Membership Meeting will occur at 12:30pm at the Festival.

1. The following expiring SC Gourd Society positions will be filled.  

             * President

             * Vice-President

             * Treasurer

             

      -  Each position, except for the Treasurer position will serve a two-year term,                        beginning May 2026.

      -  To submit a candidate for any of these openings, please do so by calling one of                  the Nominating Committee Members by March 30 to have the candidate added

          to the ballot.

2.  South Carolina Gourd Society Memberships:

      *   1 year memberships are $15

      *   3 year memberships is $40 

The festival is actively seeking volunteers to help with key jobs at the Festival.  To volunteer your time, please call or text  Linda at 864-871-2315. 

 

 All attendees will be eligible to purchase $1 raffle tickets for tools, books & gourd art

Ghost Creek Gourd Fest Vendors will be providing a variety of gourd crafting supplies including wood burners, saws and sanders, as well as paints, inks, embellishments, clay Quikwood, and gourds.  Finished gourd art and crafts will also be sold.   The chain saw artist will again be offering items for sale, and at least one live demonstration!

A Food Tent will again be available during the event.  Friday 1-5 with snacks & drinks and on Saturday from 10-5 with snacks, drinks, and a Food Truck from 11:30 to 1:3-pm. The food truck accepts Accept cash, credit card and debit card.
