Deer Antler Gourd

Students will paint the exterior of the gourd with ink dyes. The area for the deer will not have ink dyes on it. Inside of the gourd is cleaned and pained ahead of the class with black acrylic paint by the instructor. the deer will be drawn or traced onto the gourd and painted. The Rim will be laced with leather lacing, and the antler will be secured and beads applied.

Wooly Display Tree

Let your creativity branch out! In this hands-on class, you'll create your very own wooly tree-a whimsical way to show off favorite gourd keepsakes. In this class. you'll learn a unique fringing technique and how to assemble soft, textured branches onto a pre-drilled oak dowel. By the end of class, you'll head home with a charming, approximately 2 foot tall tree that's equal parts art and display. Some students may not finish, but will have all the material needed to complete at home.
