The student will apply recycled Sari Silk yarn to the outside of a gourd.  The Teacher will supply a cut, clened, and gold(inside) gourd, including all needed supplies.

Basic protection:  Apron, Awl, Pair of tweezers, X-acto knife with a new blade, Jewelry wire cutters or craft scissors

Instructor Provides:  Prepared gourds, Detailed Instruction Sheets, 8" gourd that's already been cleaned, dyed, sealed, and painted black inside.   Twenty chains (5 black, 15 of assorted colors).  Heavy duty tape, Material to rim the gourd.

         Egg Gourd Kaleidoscope

See a wonderful world of color both through and on the outside of these alcohol ink drop egg gourd kaleidoscopes. Choose your own color combinations for the alcohol ink drop you apply to the egg gourd.  Students will surely enjoy making these beautiful kaleidoscopes with a furnished brass insert kit.

Mexican Round Braiding on a Gourd Rim

This fun class will teach the students how to braid leather lacing to create the Mexican Round Braid on a gourd rim.  
The instructor will have all the supplies needed , and will show you how to terminate the braiding to create an endless rim treatment.

This class is about creating wearable art.   This interesting technique involves using your woodburner to create wearable art on a leather ballcap.
